My Journey

With a diverse and enriching journey in graphic design, I currently serve as a Senior Studio Artist Motion Designer with a strong passion for advertising. My background encompasses mechanical design, retouching, HTML5 banner creation, as well as experience in video and audio editing.

I began my career in the advertising and graphics industry, starting in prepress at print houses before advancing to manage my own prepress department, overseeing a team of three. My transition to the agency side began when I joined Deutsch, contributing to their studio department and laying the foundation for my career in advertising.

Over the years, I have collaborated with some of the largest brands, producing mechanicals for print and undertaking extensive retouching for out-of-home (OOH), experiential, and digital projects tailored to client needs. My role has been integral to the production process at major agencies on the West Coast.

While at MullenLowe, our banner development department faced an increased workload, so our banner developer sought assistance from studio. Eager to broaden my skill set, I volunteered to support our HTML5 motion designer. This collaboration allowed me to learn the intricacies of HTML5 banners, and as the need for development support grew, I took on more responsibilities. After six months, I was honored to step into the role of the primary HTML5 motion designer in our Los Angeles office.

Today, as a Senior Studio Artist, I specialize in HTML5 banners and mechanical retouching while continuously expanding my expertise in After Effects, Blender, and video and audio editing using Adobe software. I strive to be a valuable asset to my organization, committed to advancing my skill set to keep pace with the latest graphic technologies, including AI. My overarching goal is to leverage these capabilities to deliver exceptional, large-scale creative outputs, whether through mechanical design, retouching artistry, or captivating visuals in HTML5 banners and motion design for social media and video.

From My Peers

Robert is such an asset to any team.  His knowledge and dedication to a project is immeasurable.  He’s reliable and provides input/solutions when they are in need–which is often on our account.  Sad to lose him, but what ever shop gets him, I’m congratulating early.  You will have one of the best! – A.D.

Not only did Robert create great work for us in the Studio, he was also one of the most hardworking and dedicated individuals I’ve ever had a chance to work with. No matter the project, if Robert was on it, I knew it was going to be completed on time and it was going to be well done. Besides doing great work, Robert is also a great man. He’s very dedicated to his work and his family. He’s also one of the nicest people you will ever meet. As a result, I’d highly recommend Robert as a possible employee, colleague and friend for the reasons mentioned above. – D.C.

Robert is a detail orientated hard working individual. I had the pleasure of working with him at Deutsch, LA and he was always a step ahead of the game. He is fast, precise and extremely easy to work with. He is organized and was able to deliver with a moments notice. It would be a pleasure to work with him again. – S.M.

Robert is AWESOME. In addition to being very talented, super fast, able to manage a herculean workload, and detail-oriented, no matter how many hours he works or how many projects he’s on, he always has an upbeat attitude. He’s a solid communicator who always has a smile and is extremely easy to work with. He’s an absolute find. – R.K.

I could not get the job done without Robert being a rockstar studio artist. Being able to come in and explain what is needed on a job once and having it delivered on time was what i liked the most about working with him. If an issue came up Robert was always able to come up with a quick solution to the problem. I would definitely recommend Robert to anyone looking for a skilled artist in the studio or any other project that involves design work. – J.M.

Robert is very detail oriented and knows the inner working of a studio. His diligence and keen eye helped keep all jobs that left the studio accurate and within specification. Roberta has a great “can do” attitude and remains calm under pressure which is a must for a busy studio. – J.C.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Robbie over the course of 10+ years at MullenLowe. He’s a great asset to have! Always a team player and always willing to lend an extra hand when needed.
